Nick Percat:

“Our Sunday didn’t go as well as we planned. The qualifying times were really tight and we just made it into the shootout which was great, it’s always a good time when you make it into the shootout and the fans love it. With track conditions being hotter in the shootout I expected the one lap dash times to improve on each one, which they did, so I didn’t move up the order.”

“The car had really good pace in the race but it wasn’t the best in traffic. Track position is key here so we pitted early again. I stalled it on my drop which cost us position, and I found myself behind Will Davison which hurt our race. We hurt our tyres trying to get past him and then we didn’t have enough to push forward from there.”

“Overall the team had a really good weekend with Tim Slade finishing in P5 today and us getting the podium yesterday. So that’s a good points haul for the team and moves us up in the order. Now that we’ve had a little taste of success I’m keen for more, so let’s get to Townsville already!”
